For years, Tiago Prisco has moved through different countries, cities and lives. Each place has left something behind, shaping the way he sees and photographs.

Photography became his way of looking at the world — and of keeping something from it. His work is drawn to people: their bodies and gestures, their desires, silences, beauty and vulnerability. He looks at the spaces they inhabit, the cities around them, and the moments that disappear almost as soon as they happen. This is where he finds himself as a photographer: a voyeur of society and of the world. Not one who wants to possess what he sees, but one who wants to understand it. He believes in the distance between the camera and the subject — the space that allows him to wait, observe and witness.

His work moves between fashion, the body, architecture, landscape and everyday life. He is drawn to beauty, particularly when it exists in contradiction: the sensual and the uncomfortable, the carnal and the fragile, the excessive and the imperfect. Behind beauty, there is vulnerability. Behind every image, a person. Perhaps this is what he is always looking for: something that remains. A gesture. A body in a particular light. A room after everyone has left. A city revealing something of itself without intending to. These moments cannot always be planned. They have to be witnessed. He tries to stop a few before they disappear

And so, Tiago Prisco invites you into his world — through the places he has seen, the people he has observed, the experiences he has carried, and the fragments of reality he has chosen to preserve. Perhaps one of these images will find its way into your own space, not simply as something to look at, but as something to live with; something that becomes part of a room, a memory, a feeling, a story of your own. He spends his life looking outward, then turning those fragments inward, into images that can travel beyond him. A piece of his world, carried into yours.
